Law Enforcement Appreciation Day is not just about thanking someone who is serving in the field for their service. It is about thanking them and their families for:

💙Missed meals around the table because of shifts
💙Plans that had to be cancelled when the s*** hits the fan and they have to go
💙Missed memories of birthdays, and holidays so you can have yours safely
💙Being bullied and chastised by others who think negatively of the profession
💙 Sacrificing mental and physical health.
💙 Experiencing and listening to the bad and evil and be willing to go face it or let their office go face it day in and day out.

It is more than a job. It’s a calling for the officer and a sacrifice for the family.

To say it’s been a year… Is an understatement.

To say it’s been a year… Is an understatement. To think back on how it started and where we’re at…well, I am thankful.

This has been the hardest year of my life. I imagine for many, the same. If one thing stuck with me, it’s that even the strongest among us need to be checked in on. No one is exempt from needing love, support, check ins, and big hugs.

I’ll never take that for granted. I am incredibly grateful & thankful for each of you! ❤️
